“LINKS – Logopedists Interact for New Knowledge and Skills”

Dear All,
We are glad to invite you to participate in International training course for speech and language therapists called “LINKS – Logopedists Interact for New Knowledge and Skills”. This training will provide you quality professional education and place to meet and work together with colleagues from 5 European countries - Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania and Bulgaria. We are confident that all this group diversity and experience with support of great trainers will lead to 9 days of learning, exchange of ideas and experiences, making contacts, partnership building, networking … and a lot of fun.
Hosting organisation
Organizer of the training course is “Youth movement for development of the rural areas in Bulgaria” /YMDRAB/. We are a non-governmental organisation created in 2008 which work on benefit of the Bulgarian rural youth including young people with communication problems. As a part of our commitment towards a more inclusive society, we would like to support the efforts of those who work with children and youngsters with speech and language disorders. In this order this is the sixth international training course which we organize on this issue and which aims increasing the vocational capacity of speech and language therapists from Eastern Europe.

Main aim
The main project aim is to provide quality training to those working with children and young people with communication problems in order to increase their professional capacity and to improve the quality of the services they provide.

During the training course the participants will:
  • -learn about the essence and applicability of different kind of methods and systems for work with young people with various communication impairments - stuttering, articulation and phonological impairments, sensory integration, use of modern information technologies, methods of prevention and early intervention, and others;

  • -develop new professional contacts with colleagues from abroad and will exchange ideas, experiences and good practices in speech and language therapy work;

  • -learn about the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme to youth workers and organisations which work with youngsters with fewer opportunities and will plan ideas for further interaction and cooperation at different levels.
